Life Of Women Is Like a River

Comparing a women’s life to that of a river ..

Poetry Written By Sahithi Divi –

What is the meaning of your birth ?

The action plan for freedom ?

Existence is a gentle reminder ,

That you are a  nature’s blissful seed.

Flowing through the rocks of contentment ,

Expelling your art to adverse changes ,

When the time comes, you always made it .

Taking stand of transforming seasons ,

You fiercely move towards horizons .

Hard to introspect who has set the direction ,

However your life has channelised ,

Life still asks you for a share, isn’t it?

Forcing her years towards a destination,

Today becomes irrelevant for her.

And also irreversible !

Unconscious delivery of love,

Motivated by expensive patriarchy,

You will be told to match the goals ….

After all the exhaustion,

When you fall into the sea ….

Introspection comes to life ,

That soo many reviewed your growth ,

The Micro opiniated directions ,

Have all lead you to unfold ,

What you haven’t owned ,

About your life….

Then the question arises again ,

What is the meaning of your birth ?

YOU ARE THERE FOR YOURSELF

Written By Sahithi Divi – Poetry Narration Of A Person’s State Of Mind

I wish someone comes to see,

How often I am amongst nobody.

I wish someone comes to see,

How difficult it was getting for everybody…

Across densely decorated lives,

Streams of differences withhold us,

Like the revised versions of songs,

Anybody can learn to forget….

To move away from the  face of yesterday,

Counting on the memories,

Counting on the dreams,

I wish someone comes to see,

How often I am amongst nobody……..

Come in for the cure of burning soul,

Like a broken heart determined to heal,

Sling shots of people debating,

Amongst the delusional voices of outcry……

Lost while returning from the last time ?

“Dusted sky can host your pain” …

Can this moment carry your reflection?

Indefinite lives is not a free choice,

Turn around the for the darker show time,

You will surprised by the tragic events,

And how you made it……

“Nothing is just yours alone,

Not even dreams will occur again”.

Play the greatest moderant in life,

Underplay attacks by real people,

Because you will often have to forgo,

And undo your soul shattering…….

Hustle into self discovery !

Count on your truth,

Believe in that story,

Because

If you wish that someone comes to see,

That how often you are amongst nobody ,

You won’t go anywhere!

Remember that “ YOU ARE THERE FOR YOURSELF”

Participate In your Nation’s Outcry

Written by Sahithi Divi

This Is Where We Shall Start…!

All we have to do today is, to allow eachother, independent of gender bias to unleash their complete potential for the full benefit of our nation. By ignoring the social barriers faced by the opposite gender, we are objectively holding back our country from taking a leap that can bring us back all the years we ever lost to history. Only individuals can bring the dreams of this nation come true.

Are we waiting for a revolution to take place without participating ?

We are getting suppressed in the mirages of aspirational dreams. Here we are ,  choking our country from performing its capability.

How can we wait longer ?

Gender Equality cannot be resolved by our government, because there are scarecely any women in the policy making. Think about the real life immediate leadership centres you come across ; like home, school, workplace, communities etc.

Act, Advocate and Allign with your opposite gender to support each other like a community. That is what will make gender equality heal us ‘together’ as a nation one day.

That is where we shall start, at HOME.

What Is Your Responsibilty Towards Gender Equality ?

Written by Sahithi Divi

Gender is independent of an individual’s sex, it is an evolving choice and  personal conception of how one wants to live their life. Gender based education is very important at a young age for self discovery. Here we do not discuss the type of genders, instead we first learn to embrace the diversity of gender for a gentle ride for all.

Many of us around us are quietly taking on the burden of making  personal choices about appearance, lifestyle, professional path and intimate universe. Gender is how a person chooses to live their life. There is a lot of imbalance in developing societies, the imbalance that shuts down risk taking abilities of a person based on the objectively formed gender biases.

Not only Education and awareness but also a community that embraces the differences between people independent of gender is essential.

What can you do ?

LOVE ALL
  • Promoting an inclusive society for co existence (Not feminism and gender diversity alone)
  • Talk to your friends and allow them to share ( Hear to indifferent unharmful personal perspectives with respect)
  • Create awareness about gender diversity to normalise your surrounding about it ( Fearlessly speak up to the abnormal reactions)
  • Destigmatize the  decision making process at least for the immediate person you are dealing with. ( Give your hand to those who need it to cross societal barriers)
  • Question the stereotypes about gender stigma around you ( If you feel something is not right, then question)

In the journey of life everyone goes through their own battles, but gender is one fight that we can resolve better together.

Men – In The War Of Gender Polarization

Written By Sahithi Divi

Thoughts revisited ( pic : pier 39, San Fransisco )

In these times of extremism, are men able to leverage from the war of gender inequality? Men are being socially subjected to focul standards that forces an embarking imbalance in their self discovery. If a woman is born with pre made choices for her , a man is born with precisely oriented responsibilities for him to deliver. There are ofcourse two sides of gender inequality, but being a firm believer of cross functional ( Men and Women supporting each other ) compatibility benefits, I start off to brainstorm my inferences about the social stigma that is encountered by ‘Men’ in the name of Gender Polarization.

Myths that can affect men

  • Don’t cry like a girl ‘ – Such a mean phrase, that can reduce a person to subjective confusion, not only about his external behaviour but also damages the formation of an internal co existent mind set.
  • Man up – Really ? Does it refer to Strength? Bravery? Drive of Sex? or Built? What we repeatedly say, becomes what we believe, which in turn becomes who we are… Let us promote a world free of ‘ Manning up’ for Men.
  • Homemaker – The greatest things we say about a homemaker ; will we still say all the greatest things if the homemaker is a Man ?
  • Identity Crisis – ‘ Man – Money – Measure ‘ is a deeply engraved carving over a man’s life which means – measure the man with money. Let us create an emotionally insured world for men.
  • Emotional competency – Although empathy can be wonderfully exhibited by men yet they are more vulnerable to expression and often hold back from showing a weakness without restraint.
  • Perfection – Expectation of perfection parasites over men with compulsory deliverables, leaving no choice but to be left wanting to be more better.
  • Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus – We are all united by the means of humanity, nature and resources. Diversity gives differential learning whereas it does not mean that men and women are opposites by nature.

An old man once said to me , ” It is easier to raise strong children than it is to repair broken men “. ( St. Anthony’s Foundation ) Think about it…

Are We Emotionally Intelligent?

Written by Sahithi Divi

Emotional Intelligence

Amid the constant schedule pre designed around us everyday, do we realise the purpose of that constant shedule ? All the success related powers can be achieved only after crossing the emotional barriers. Path leading to ambition yields best if balanced with being aware of people’s state around you. Emotional Intelligence comes to use in almost every occurence from personal to professional level. Interestingly , the learnings come mostly from micro sources.

I identified some tools to equip my self with greater compassion towards giving more and being able to receive better from life. In my opinion they apply to everyone ; school kids ? entrepreneurs ? for that matter everybody …

  • Empathy: Being non judgemental towards people, to dissolve various perspectives and stage a life filled with real performances of sharing, learning and growing. Empathy is a non opinionated understanding and a powerful suport system.
  • Listen : There is a lot of life hidden in the big talks and sometimes that includes listening, which is an art. To listen without changing the course of narration and avoiding the reflexive iterruptions might give you better views.
  • Purpose : Try not to measure anything in materialistic ways but if at all you do, then measure the purpose of value creation that is generated in exchange to your time and effort.
  • People : Everyone in your life tree will leave a little of them in you. While you go through the process, try to make the most with every person you meet to give them good memories after crossing paths. Time is less enough to reflect on things that cannot matter.
  • Sustainable : Lean towards minimalism, consuming responsibly, recycling and spreading ecological awareness. Even nature has emotional needs from us.
  • Give : This is a personal choice yet my expirience with giving has always been overwhelming in terms of inner growth and soul expansion. Giving releases the hunger for more and provides the comfort of containment.
  • Forgive : Free your inner peace to evoke and let go of what is not in your control . Forgive as much as possible to make place for acceptance.

We encounter family, friends, beneficiaries, customers, collegues etc. in soo many unexpected ways. Embrace intelligence with emotions for a wonderful ride.

So , are we emotionally intelligent ?…
